Why the Accord

Secured credit in Africa remains fragmented — not for lack of capital, but for lack of a shared, trusted operating layer that governments, institutions and traders can rely on together. Significant pension capital, development finance liquidity and trade finance sit on the sidelines, held back less by appetite than by the absence of infrastructure for secure, collateral-backed credit deployment at scale. The Accord exists to build that shared trust — convening every stakeholder annually, and demonstrating the model on Obotan's regulated infrastructure rather than only describing it.

The Three Acts

Morning — State of African Secured Credit

Opening keynotes and release of the annual Africa Secured Credit Index, followed by a panel on where capital is waiting to deploy, and why.

Afternoon — Infrastructure Demonstration

A live, hands-on demonstration of the Obotan platform — Wallet architecture, a simulated end-to-end trade finance credit cycle, and the Guarantee Framework in action — followed by structured Q&A.

Evening — Deal Signing Ceremony

Structured sector roundtables producing written, signed Intent Statements — public commitments to explore or deepen platform participation — followed by a closing reception.
